Fear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.

What is your fear? Failure, responsibility, truth, speaking, your boss…

Justin BolingMore PostsREVIEW: Friday Night Lights

In college, i had one of those 8am classes, ugh, but the best part about this class was we watched movies, TV shows, and commercials for most of the class. Our professor choose one show for us to watch throughout the semester and that show was Friday Night Lights! He said he almost choose Battle Star Galactic…thankfully he didn’t…sorry to all the Glactica fans out there! Many of you may have seen or at least heard of the movie Friday night Lights, which is great film but the TV show is far better! The topics the show hit on are great starting points for parent to child conversation starters. PLUS the show is greatly entertaining and 100%addictive to young and old!

Justin BolingMore Posts4 Tips to Not Crying at Your Graduation Celebration

We all have mixed feelings when it comes to graduating seniors. Some students we are excited to see leave and others that bring tears to our eyes just thinking about how far they have come. Here are 4 tips to Graduation that will ensure that you do not cry, but then again it’s not a horrible thing to be “this guy”!

#1 – Don’t Have a Graduation Celebration
#2 – Tell your students they simply aren’t graduating
#3 – Ignore that graduation even exists
#4 – Take vacation when you are to have your Graduation Celebration

Ok…so maybe these aren’t great ideas, but I know some of you just asked for the time-off! Take a second and breathe this is a season of life that you are privileged to celebrate with those graduating seniors. This is your chance to tell embarrassing mission stories about each of them and send them riding off into the sunset to become a productive part of society. My advice…celebrate them, embarrass them, but don’t forget about them! You can still speak into their lives for months and years to come run with that opportunity

Justin BolingMore PostsThe BEST BOOK We Have Ever Published

Serving in Christian ministry should be a life-building, life-giving, life-inspiring experience for leaders, spouses, and families. So why isn’t that always the case?
In As For Me & My Crazy House, youth pastor Brian Berry pours out his thoughts on why it’s so tough to build a healthy life, a healthy marriage, and a healthy family in the midst of ministry craziness. He focuses on the three best gifts you as a youth worker can bestow:

  • The best gift you can give your marriage is a healthy self
  • The best gift you can give your family is a healthy marriage
  • The best gift you can give your community and ministry is a healthy family
