Justin BolingMore PostsTips To Improve YOUR Blog from Chuck Norris!!

It’s safe to assume that you have a blog, as it must be a requirement to be a youth worker. However here are a couple tips to improve your blogging…

  1. Use Images! It’s true they actually dospeak 1,000 words.
  2. Keep Posts Short & Sweet. It’s easy to write about something we are passionate about, but its hard to write about that same thing and keep it short!
*FACT most readers give you 15-30 seconds before they are on to the next thing!
  3. Create Practical Lists. Like this one “4 Theological Teaching Tips”. This is intriguing to the reader, and it yells THIS IS A SHORT BLOG POST!
  4. Chuck Norris! Just saying his name will increase your blog traffic by 1,000,000%!

Thanks for loving students

  1. I still struggle with shortening my posts. I am torn on compromising the depth of my topics for traffic. It is almost the struggle many churches see. Evangelism vs. Discipleship. Both are important…

    Still unsure.
    Thanks for the thoughts.

    • Arman,
Totally get it! Its like shrinking your heart. 90% of what we blog about is something we are passionate about, which makes it 150% more difficult to shorten the posts. However, ask yourself these questions…
      1) Am I blogging to answer questions or to create a dialog and allow readers to gather their own answers?
      2) Will shortening my posts force me (Arman) to communicate clearer and thus be understood by more people.
FYI there is no fool-proof way to blog…their is a place for everything, and that is the beauty of it!

  2. Arman – try making those longer posts ‘part-ers’ – Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. It keeps you from compromising depth – and if part 1 is engaging, readers will be sure to return for the remainder of the series.

  3. Thanx for the post. I ALWAYS read ANYTHING about Chuck Norris and assume it is law. DONE
